What can I wear?

Often a cause for concern when coming to a new church is "what can I wear?" We can assure you that you will see people in a variety of clothing. Some where suits, some where jeans, some wear long dresses, and others wear shorts. Our pastor even has a variety of styles that change week to week.

What is reformed? Reformed from what?

Reformed is the tradition that we come from, but you will see that we have many things in common with other traditions. We trace our theological history from John Calvin directly, but the other Reformers were Luther and Zwingli. We actually have more in common than we have different. We will not argue theological differences, but rather we will celebrate where we are alike.

Can visitors take part in the Lord's Supper?

Of course. You do not have to be a member of this church to take communion. Our liturgy says, "All who are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and confess that Christ is Lord are welcome to the Table." If you can say that you believe Christ is your savior, then you are welcome to participate.

How can I get Involved?

During the service we offer a time to put connection cards into the offering plate. Put your contact info on the card, and write us a note, and we will try to find a place where you fit best. We love seeing God's people get involved, and want to see your gifts used for God's glory.

Our offerings are for those who consider First Reformed their home and who are part of the mission here. Instead of wanting guests to give something, we want you to get something!

Do you take an offering?

We’re a church that loves to have the whole family in worship so everyone can be together and grow together spiritually.  Of course we have a clean, safe nursery and Sunday school programs staffed by great volunteers.
